If you have kept up with the recent Apple news, you'll have heard about the recent investigation into how iPods are made, in the so called 'iPod City' factory. Forget that, the investigation should have looked into San Francicso today as it became 'iPod City'. As Apple a announced upgrades to all it's iPods, for those less proficient with numbers, that's the 30Gb iPod, Nano and Shuffle.
iPod

First off, Apple has bumped the top line iPod from 60Gb to 80Gb. The 2.5" colour screen is now 60% brighter, which will make it perfect for watching those new movies now available in iTunes 7 - over 75 to start with, such as Pirates of The Caribean 2.
Incase you felt the DS or PSP weren't enough handheld gaming for you, Apple has now added support for games to the iPod, the launch line up is featured below and is available right away from the iTunes music store.
- Bejeweled
- Cubis 2
- Mahjong
- Mini Golf
- Pac-Man
- Tetris
- Texas Hold’em
- Vortex
- Zuma
iPod Nano

The first iPod Nano was incredibly successful but had one major drawback, it scratched like a son of a bitch. Now Apple has addressed this with the second gen Nano. Now, not only available in 5 colours and 3 capacities - the Nano now comes in an aluminium enclosure, much like the old iPod Mini. The Nano's battery life has also been boosted to 24 hours.
Apple are also launching a host of accessories for the new Nano, inculding Lanyard headphones, an armband, a dock, and a new incredibly compact USB power adapter. Look out for a review very soon.
iPod Shuffle

Perhaps the most radical re-design falls to Apple's smallest player, the shuffle has now been shrunk to the same size as the apple FM remote. Featuring a 12 hour battery life, the shuffle comes in once capacity, 2Gb.
More impressively perhaps, the Shuffle ships with a usb dock, the first iPod in a while to do so. Available in October for £55, the Shuffle looks set to continue it's great success.
